My name is Rex Martens and as far back as I can remember I always had a cricket bat or ball in my hands. My Dad played both cricket and hockey for Singapore and so did I and my 2 brothers. Every Sunday we would all pile into my Dad's car and we would go watch him play. My mum would score and we would spend the whole day hitting, chasing and catching a ball. We went to grounds that no longer exist - Tengah Air Base, Changi Army Base, Naval Base, Gillman Barracks to name a few. It was from these days that my passion for cricket was created and has never left me.

Fast forward 40 years to 2010 and after 25 years as a banker I packed away my calculator and suits and re-ignited my passion for cricket. I love coaching cricket and there is nothing more satisfying than watching a team of cricket players whether they be 10, 20 or 50 years old celebrating a catch, hitting the winning runs or just sitting back to shoot the breeze. Cricketers are a special breed, loners in a team environment. Cricket builds character, makes or breaks you as a team man and makes you friends for life.

We have coaches who like me grew up looking forward to cricket every weekend. This created their same passion for cricket and helps them understands the ups and downs that a young player will experience at the outset of their cricketing journey.

We hope we can impart our experience and passion to all the players who train with us. We will try our best to create a pathway for you from  novice to school player to club cricketer to national colors.

Good luck in your cricket journey.
