RMCA Cricket Coaching

RMCA runs cricket training sessions on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The sessions are created to cover varying ability groups and player levels.

Advanced Players

​

  • Players who are very comfortable playing matches and at training. When batting they are able to face bowling with a hard ball and have good basics.

  • The player will have a smooth bowling action with good basics.

  • When it comes to fielding the player has good hand eye co-ordination and is able to catch and throw a ball with the minimum of fuss.

  • Play with hard ball

  • Facing a bowling machine up to 50 to 60  miles per hour

  • Fielding drills with hard ball

Intermediate Players

​

  • This program is designed for intermediate cricketers who have either graduated from the beginners course or for players who already have an idea of what cricket is and feel that they are ready to start at this phase of the program.

  • The sessions will consist of modified games to put the basic cricket skills into practice.

  • Play with semi-pro and hard ball.•Throw down from coaches with hard ball

  • •Fielding drills to focus on hand and body position i.e. getting behind the ball

Enthusiasts

​

  • This program is for players who are newcomers to cricket as well as players who are not yet comfortable playing with a hard ball.

  • The sessions will involve learning the basics of batting, bowling, wicket keeping and fielding and will rely heavily on visual aids. 

  • Play with semi-pro and soft ball

  • Sessions are fun orientated

​

Sessions are held at 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm on Tuesdays  and 8.30 am to 10.30 am, 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm and 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm on Saturdays.
